Renowned golfer and golf course architect Lanny Wadkins has elevated Firethorne Country Club with a series of transformative improvements. A centerpiece of this enhancement is a world-class short game practice area, meticulously designed by Wadkins himself. This state-of-the-art facility features expansive chipping and pitching greens, as well as strategically placed bunkers to sharpen your skills.
Golf Course Tee to Green Enhancements
To complement the new practice area, we're also investing in course-wide enhancements, including an expanded irrigation pond, upgraded tee boxes, and renovated putting greens. These improvements will create an unparalleled golfing experience for our Members.
Palmetto & Pine: Now Open
We are thrilled to unveil Palmetto & Pine, our new restaurant named in honor of the state trees of South Carolina and North Carolina, reflecting the journey of our golf course through these two beautiful states. This elevated dining venue promises an experience where tradition and sophistication converge, offering a unique setting that pays homage to the natural heritage and culinary richness of the Carolinas.
Expanded Patio at Griffin’s
This enhancement will create more spacious and inviting areas for families to dine and gather. Enjoy watching golfers finish their rounds while you relish the beautiful North Carolina weather. The redesigned patio is perfect for savoring meals, socializing, and soaking in the picturesque views of our course.
